Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 23, 2026
At Chatstack, we are committed to providing a transparent, safe, and secure environment for our users. This Privacy Policy details how the Chatstack Chrome Extension and our web platform collect, handle, use, and store your data when you use our services.
1. Disclosed Single Purpose
The single purpose of the Chatstack Chrome Extension is to allow users to export and publish their ChatGPT conversation text as blog posts to their personal blogging profile. The extension only accesses, parses, and transmits data that is strictly necessary to fulfill this core feature.
2. User Data We Collect
When you explicitly trigger the "Publish" control from the extension, we collect and transmit:
- Conversation Contents: Message text, formatted tables, lists, and code blocks from your active ChatGPT conversation tab.
- Authentication Metadata: Your OAuth tokens (e.g. Google Sign-In details) to link your posts to your registered dashboard account.
We do not track, collect, or store your wider browsing history, other open tabs, or any financial, health, or unrelated personal information.
3. Google API & Limited Use Disclosure
"The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements."
Under the Limited Use restrictions:
- We limit the use of user data strictly to providing and improving the single-purpose features of the Chatstack platform.
- We do not sell, rent, or lease user data to third parties, data brokers, advertising platforms, or information resellers.
- We do not use or transfer user data for personalized advertisements or to determine credit-worthiness/lending.
- Human operators will never read your raw conversation data unless you grant explicit consent for support, or we are required to do so for security investigations or legal compliance.
4. Data Transmission & Security
All data collected is transmitted securely using modern cryptographic protocols (HTTPS/SSL) to protect against unauthorized access, manipulation, interception, or interception. Database entries are stored on secure cloud servers with strict firewalls and database access controls.
5. User Control and Data Deletion
You own your data. At any time, you can log in to your dashboard to edit, unpublish, or permanently delete any of your blog posts. If you wish to delete your entire account and associated data permanently, you may do so through your dashboard settings or contact us directly.
